Xenominthe

Xenominthe is an upcoming NFT and web project that reads the non-human women of the contemporary web through forms of relation, capture and extraction recorded in medieval fairy folklore. The fairy woman is reterritorialised within the internet: a seductive, unstable presence moving between synthetic bodies, pornographic images, AI companions, chatbots, spam advertising and digital deception. The screen becomes another threshold across which these entities address the user, solicit intimacy, offer companionship, sell desire and extract attention, data or money. Shapeshifters, fairy brides, water spirits and other intimacies return as computational entities, summoned through images, interfaces and acts of exchange.
