The 39th Chaos Communication Congress (39C3) takes place in Hamburg on 27–30 Dec 2025, and is the 2025 edition of the annual four-day conference on technology, society and utopia organized by the Chaos Computer Club (CCC) and volunteers. Congress offers lectures and workshops and various events on a multitude of topics including (but not limited to) information technology and generally a critical-creative attitude towards technology and the discussion about the effects of technological advances on society.

Mutating Matters
Group Exhibition
This exhibition brings together works that explore how bodies are shaped, extended, and reimagined in relation to technologies, environments, and cultural imaginaries. Rather than presenting the body as a closed system, the artists reveal it as porous, mutable, and deeply entangled with forces beyond itself. Here, the body becomes a dynamic interface—never static, always in dialogue with what surrounds it, whether technological, environmental, social, or political.

At a time when artificial intelligence and biotechnology are reshaping the very conditions of life and the body, we are compelled to rethink what kinship and reproduction mean. Bringing together thinkers rooted in feminist praxis and queer theory—such as Paul Preciado (ES), Jack Halberstam (US), and Sophie Lewis (UK)—this symposium asks how we might imagine reproduction and kinship differently, beyond patriarchal structures and the nuclear family.
